Packing for your baby’s first overnight trip to Grandma’s is easier when you’ve got a jumbo-sized diaper bag to tote all that extra gear in, and the Arrows Weekender is the biggest diaper bag we’ve found, measuring 19" x 15" x 6". (The dimensions make it a great choice for cloth-diapering parents, too!) There are two deep exterior pockets and four interior pockets.
A tip that I wish I had figured out a lot sooner… cosmetic bags are a GREAT “rectangular” size to hold a few diapers and a small wipes pack, plus some other small items (WetWipes, etc). I have several of these diaper “clutches”… they can easily go in and out of our larger diaper bag, and I keep one in each car. I like them a lot better than the true “diaper clutches” that are sold – I don’t need something bulky/fancy that folds out into a changing pad, etc! I have found good size bags at WalMart and Harmon. https://i.pinimg.com/originals/fd/f6/b5/fdf6b57deb5c1fe5f36a79ee01e89295.jpg
To find you the most stylish and functional diaper bag of 2019, we put 27 diaper bags to the test! We stuffed them with baby products, tossed them on the ground, tried out the insulated baby bottle pockets, spilled milk in them, forced the zipper open and shut, and put a 25-pound weight inside to make sure the fabric and straps were durable and comfortable. We found about a dozen great diaper bags, most of which come in several different colors and patterns - so don't judge only by the picture we provide! Here are the top 5 diaper bags we found, followed by in-depth reviews of about a dozen different options.

Diapers, wipes, extra clothes, changing pad, feeding supplies, ointments, burp cloths: this is just a sample of the items that you cannot leave the house without when you have a baby. A Thirty-One diaper bag is the perfect solution for organizing all of your baby's essentials so that you can easily find what you need. The Thirty-One organizing utility tote measures approximately 10.25 inches in height, 15.5 inches in width, and has a diameter of 6.5 inches. It is a medium-sized bag great for holding baby's items and a few items of your own. If you have multiple kids, need to haul toys and sporting items, or want to use the bag as a purse and diaper bag, the Thirty-One large utility tote fits your needs. It is about 11.75 inches in height, 21.5 inches in width, and 10 inches in diameter. The reliable sellers on eBay offer Thirty-One products in many different prints and patterns, ensuring that you find something that fits your style. When you have a baby, a bit of organization is key for making your day go as smoothly as possible. With a Thirty-One diaper bag, you can be organized and stylish as you go about your day. https://i.pinimg.com/280x280_RS/18/c2/ea/18c2ea7b3d186e423df19d84977ecfad.jpg
I have 4 kiddos and currently love the Harbor Side Tote (although the new satchel looks adorable too), from Vilah Bloom! I believe they are based out of Michigan and the company was very attentive when my latest shipment was late. It has a comfortable, detachable cross body option and lots of pockets inside and out. I too, have gone through a ton of diaper bags over the years as our needs have changed. I’m hoping I can use this one for a few more years, since it doesn’t really look like a diaper bag to me!
You're told to bond with your baby, but not to fall asleep with them in the bed, and to let them rest in their bassinet. But when you're recovering from something that is (at best) the most physically demanding thing a person can do or (at worst) major surgery, moving your baby back and forth from bed to bassinette all night long sure doesn't sound like fun. https://i.pinimg.com/236x/b2/0c/bd/b20cbd24e66033a682b2e45d41f64144.jpg

Do you like the SkipHop Grand Central, but think it's a bit too pricey? Then this tote diaper bag is definitely the next-best option for you. This awesome diaper bag, the SOHO Grand Central, is similarly styled with some very similar functionalities, but at about half the price. While the SkipHop has most features integrated right into the bag, this one takes a different approach and has them as separate pieces. There's a separate zippered and insulated baby bottle bag, a separate diaper clutch (for disposable or cloth diapers, of course!), changing pad, toiletries bag, and a little wallet. It has 5 different little bags for various things, it took a while to figure out what it was all about. But once we did, we loved it. Being able to take everything out separately is a different style, but we got used to it and ended up liking it. Going to the register at Starbucks? Just bring the wallet part. Going to a bench to bottle feed? Just bring the bottle pouch. It made some sense, and also made cleaning a bit easier when you can wash each part separately. Like the SkipHop it has zippered front pockets, convenient side exterior pockets for pacifiers, and is overall about the same size as the SkipHop, though the opening did stretch a bit wider overall. It includes some stroller straps, which are a nice touch, though definitely use caution with a heavy diaper bag to prevent the stroller from tipping over backwards. The quality isn't quite on par with the SkipHop, especially in terms of the inner liner, seams, and zippers, but we thought at about half the price it deserved a high spot on our best diaper bags list. Highly recommended! Interested? Check out the SOHO Grand Central diaper bag here.
Sold at Nordstrom and other upscale retailers, the Petunia Pickle Bottom diaper bags (and backpack diaper bags) are among the most popular, super-stylish, and high quality diaper bags available on the market. The styles are awesome and range from quilted black with gold trim, to flowers and abstract watercolors. The designs are subtle and give the bags a high-end look. And the price tends to reflect that, with this Boxy Backpack model coming in at just over $150, making it the most expensive diaper bag option on our list! Its price is almost justified by its high quality and functionality. The bag we tried, the Indigo model pictured to the right, was made right here in the USA of cotton canvas that has a durable glazed coating on it for stain and water resistance. For functionality, this bag is really large, coming in at about 0.90 cubic feet of capacity. For pockets, there are several inside (8 of them), including two with zippers, and 3 outside (two for baby bottles on the side, and one larger one on the front that holds the included diaper changing station and pad). So, there's tons of space inside, and plenty of pockets for organizing baby care products, and the top opens up nice and wide for easy access. In terms of versatility, it also has several carrying options. You can carry it like a tote using the top grab handle, or use it as an over the shoulder diaper bag, backpack diaper bag, or attach to the stroller using the included stroller straps. It looks best as a shoulder diaper bag, but when you get sore it's great to have the option to wear it as a backpack. In our testing, we found the bag to be generally high quality, stylish, versatile, functional, and really large. It stands on end on its own, which is really nice - in other words, it doesn't tend to topple over like some other diaper bags. Maybe that's why it's called the Boxy model since the bottom is pretty boxy and stable. We also liked that it came with a sleek plastic baby wipe holder or diaper tote that made trips to the changing table much easier. There's really a lot to love about this diaper bag - but is the price worth it? Well, there were some limitations to the bag we purchased for testing. First, we were surprised that there was no insulated pocket for bottles or foods, not even the bottle pockets on the sides have any insulation. Second, the fabric is available in cotton canvas, embossed stitching, and a plush chenille. We actually only tested the cotton canvas, but we made the mistake of putting it in the washing machine after a milk spill, and the bag fell apart a bit - some of the stitching came loose, and it seemed like the bag lost some of its water resistance. So that was a bummer. Finally, the backpack straps aren't padded so they're not the most comfortable straps in the world - same with the shoulder strap. So definitely some limitations that might make you reconsider whether the style and Petunia Pickle Bottom name recognition are worth the price? We'll let you decide! Interested? Diaper bags are specifically designed to schlep all the things you need for your baby or toddler. Chances are, your little angel will surprise you with the biggest, smelliest, most disgusting blowout when you are miles away from home. Diaper bags generally come equipped with a changing pad, and have room to hold diapers, wipes, hand sanitizer and creams, a change of clothing or two, snacks, and a smartphone and a wallet, often in a series of pockets designed with specific items in mind. Some also have external, sometimes insulated, pockets for milk and/or water bottles, and designated straps to hook the bag onto your stroller. (Note: Though the JPMA and Consumer Reports advise against hanging a bag on a stroller because of the tip risk, most diaper bag makers—and parents—ignore this warning).

Working at 31 gifts I really was focused on my customers and the relationships with them. I did not work for 31 to promote or make a lot of money. I wanted to connect with people and help them in the way of customer service I hadn't previously experienced. I learned more about communication and the most rewarding part of the job was when a customer was completely satisfied and referred me as a consultant to a friend. https://i.pinimg.com/236x/63/98/67/63986718ddebadab436224a8b166f428.jpg
Comfortable to carry. We looked for padded straps, good balance, and a low weight. We took a skeptical eye toward bags that, when empty, weigh more than 2 pounds (we did make a few exceptions). Comfort is subjective, and we wanted to find options for people who find backpacks or messenger bags more comfortable than shoulder bags. Bonus points for bags that could be carried in multiple ways. https://i.pinimg.com/236x/da/5f/f7/da5ff7c950c8294ff812bf8282dea98b.jpg

This is our highest-ranking convertible diaper bag, and we love the style and functionality of this versatile and relatively unisex diaper bag system. The bag converts from a regular over-the-shoulder diaper bag, to a messenger bag, and to a super comfortable backpack with soft shoulder pads. So just when your arm or shoulder is getting sore, you can untuck the backpack straps from the side pocket, and off you go, in style and comfort. But it's not just versatile. This diaper bag is also super functional. It has outside and inside pockets, 3M baby bottle insulator pockets, and clever see-through plastic pockets inside so you can see what you're looking for before you go searching. It's relatively small, but we found it big enough for one baby, and the fact that you can open the main compartment nice and wide really helps you fit all your things in (and prevents you from randomly searching for things). But it does have a few drawbacks, given its high price (like $170). For this price, we would expect a bit higher quality on the fabrics and zippers. They're good, but not quite on par with the heavier duty zippers of a SOHO bag, or the easy-clean fabrics of a SkipHop bag. So while it's on our list of best diaper bags, and we think it's worthy of inclusion, these drawbacks will keep it a bit lower in our reviews and ratings. Interested? This tote caught my eye on the website with the three separate compartments and extra pockets for organizing, but I really had no idea how much I would love this bag until I took it with me a few times to church and running errands around town.  I can hold EVERYTHING I need in this one bag with room to spare!  My Suite Success Tote was packed to the brim today and I dumped everything out and took a picture to show you how much you can put inside this bag.  I am even missing an outfit (the baby’s change of clothes got used today, and our snacks got eaten before the picture so add that stuff in your mind too.)

No matter which style you choose, you should think about how you'll be able to put it onto one of our best strollers: down in the stroller's basket, or would you like to hang it on the stroller's handlebars? If the latter, you should go ahead and buy a diaper bag that includes stroller straps, like several of our top-rated bags. We suspect you'll use that feature a lot. Of course, always use caution when hanging the diaper bag on the handlebars of your stroller: when you take your baby out, the stroller will flip over backwards (unless the bag is super light)! So definitely make sure that the stroller you choose has a nice large basket to fit your diaper bag. https://i.pinimg.com/originals/00/e9/19/00e9198bc8a4b2f8fa99e60ad20ae0ee.jpg
Convertible diaper bags are designed to be carried in multiple ways, and Ju-Ju-Be’s B.F.F. bag is definitely versatile—it can be carried by its top handle, or worn as a messenger bag or backpack. The straps are made of cushy memory foam and are designed to not slip off your shoulder (something that’s extra annoying when you have a baby in your arms!). https://i.pinimg.com/236x/79/db/93/79db93e48451de0596d542a39a4a2da8.jpg
The Nightlight selected the B.F.F. as the best diaper bag and Lucie’s List named it one of its top picks in 2017. It comes in nearly 50 patterns and colors that range from the prim to the nautical, to the adorable (yes, the bag comes in more than one Hello Kitty pattern). In online reviews, owners (mostly moms) rave about the design of its pockets and how easy the bag is to clean. And though there are some complaints that it’s not roomy enough, others say it has plenty of space, even for cloth diapers. “We tried SO many diaper bags before finally investing in this one,” said one owner. “This bag fit all the criteria and more! I can easily fit my cloth diapers, extra outfits, everything for me, her jacket, water bottle, snacks for me, and so much more. I love that it is so easy to care for this bag and I can toss it in the wash.”

We ultimately used the diaper bags in nearly 50 real-world settings in two states, including on airplanes, at the beach, at the mall, at Costco, at an amusement park (where birds landed on the diaper bags and pecked at them), and at the zoo, playgrounds, restaurants, a kids soccer game, museums, the doctor’s office, and the pool. Almost all the diaper bags traveled with us during a family vacation to Hawaii, where it was humid, sandy, occasionally rainy, and about 85 to 100 degrees Fahrenheit on most days. We hung the bags on our stroller—which indeed tipped over several times, though luckily not with the baby strapped inside it!—during long walks, and slung it over our shoulders or backs the rest of the time. In the majority of our outings, we changed the baby’s diaper to see how manageable it would be to set up the changing pad and reach the diapers and wipes. https://i.pinimg.com/originals/b5/94/99/b594992a96e6a59d7c4ca4437e2b7ac4.jpg
“Since 2016, we have been proudly partnered with Nationwide Children’s Hospital in support of life changing behavioral health research and are now proud to join the On Our Sleeves movement with our family of more than 60,000 independent sales consultants across the U.S. to break mental health stigmas and support children everywhere,” said Cindy Monroe, Founder & CEO, Thirty-One Gifts.

Thirty One is already the go-to source for durable and stylish totes, backpacks, purses, home decor and now baby––and all with the ability to be personalized. The new baby line isn’t just for families with infants. Sure, there are some seriously adorable diaper bags, bottle thermals, baby caddies and even whimsical pillow designs for the nursery. But it’s also for those of us with big kids too!
The Skip Hop Duo Signature showed no wear and tear as a toddler did his best to get it dirty, including dragging it across the beach and dumping sand inside it. You can flip the bag over to dump out dirt and crumbs, and we were able to successfully scrub off dried milk and crushed Cheerios from the bag’s wipeable polyester interior. The Skip Hop Duo’s deep, narrow main compartment is a bit challenging to reach into to clean compared with those of other diaper bags, but the material is slippery enough that we could still clean it easily enough. Only one other bag, our upgrade pick, was easier to clean. https://i.pinimg.com/originals/09/f1/bc/09f1bca7f3ca313f54fd06b2cf701cec.jpg
It has plenty of interior and exterior pockets to organize all our stuff (even for all 3 kids). It has shoulder straps and a removable cross-body strap, it has clips to attach it so a stroller, it zips closed (and has a couple zippered outside pockets), it’s big enough but not TOO big, and it’s super cute! In fact, most people don’t even realize it’s a diaper bag until they see the sippy cups popping out! https://i.pinimg.com/236x/ab/94/8d/ab948d9ea49af591f2dd1a1d947181a6.jpg
This is an awesome backpack-style diaper bag that is stylish, durable, convenient, comfortable, and feature-rich. It's a medium-sized diaper bag that you can carry has a hand-tote or as a diaper bag backpack. It has a modern gender-neutral style, helped by the heather gray color, the leather accents, the asymmetrical front pocket, and its vintage style button. It's the sort of bag that both mom and dad will be willing to wear, making it one of the only unisex diaper bags on our list. And it has some great features. First, we loved the side baby bottle exterior pockets, the zippered wipe dispenser on the side, and the hidden pocket on the back (up against your back) that can hold valuables without the risk of pick-pocketing. That's great if you live in the city, or travel to urban areas where that's an issue (like on the subway!). We also liked the substantial padding against the back, to keep things comfortable for longer excursions. It also includes stroller straps on the sides, though we warn you to be careful about attaching diaper bags to strollers due to the tipping hazard. In that regard, it's definitely a good size for throwing into the stroller's bottom basket, but still big enough to hold most of your stuff. Speaking of size, the main compartment is really quite large and is divided well into a mesh pocket area, a zippered pocket, and elastic pockets for holding smaller items. We were able to fit everything necessary into the bag without any issues. It's great to have a nicely divided main compartment, to prevent things from sinking down to the bottom and remaining elusive in your desperate search for that last clean pacifier! We also want to point out that this company is very responsive to customer concerns. This is their third version of this great diaper bag, with improved stitching and reinforcements based on customer feedback (and if you have the older version with an issue, you can email them and they'll send you the newer one for free!). And the price is right too, coming in around $40. So, if you're looking for the comfort and convenience of a backpack, this is a great option! Note that we also checked out the HapTim Multifunction Large Baby Diaper Bag Backpack, which is very similar and very highly recommended. Interested? You can check out the HapTim Backpack diaper bag here.

Staying organized when you are a parent is no easy feat. This diaper backpack from Graco will make the task just a bit easier with multiple pockets that are made for bottles, burp cloths, and even a wipes dispenser. It also has smaller pockets on the inside to house keys, medical supplies, cell phones, and more. Along with all of the pockets, this diaper backpack also comes with a changing pad which makes changing diapers on-the-go easy.
The Skip Hop Duo Signature won’t be roomy enough for everybody. It’s big enough for everyday use if you have a single child in diapers, but could feel too cramped if you have more than one young child, are using cloth diapers (which take up more room), plan to travel frequently, or want to carry personal belongings such as a laptop in your diaper bag. When I used the Skip Hop as my carry-on during a several-hour flight, adding my laptop and some basic toiletries to its usual contents, I could barely zip the main compartment. If you’re seeking more space, consider our backpack pick. https://i.pinimg.com/originals/0f/9c/1a/0f9c1a204ac11e0c20157ef442d11151.jpg
Beyond comfort, the B.F.F. earns its name thanks to its multiple mom-friendly features: Teflon-treated, stain-repelling outer fabric, an antimicrobial interior lining that reduces odor-causing bacteria and mildew (in case, you know, a bottle spills and you forget about it), and the ability to toss the whole thing in the washing machine if, despite all of the above, it needs a good cleaning.
We spent 14 hours researching online and off to first create a list of about 40 finalists, culled from the designer bags, cheap knock-offs, and dozens of other bags available. We then combed through hundreds of user reviews on Amazon, Babies“R”Us, Zappos, BuyBuy Baby, and Target, and read dozens more reviews by baby-gear experts and parent bloggers. We spoke in person with four local baby retailers and consignment stores about what their customers want, which brands they carry, and why.1 https://i.pinimg.com/736x/3f/63/2a/3f632abc6e89cba1d3e5fea0e16964bf--thirty-one-gifts-consultant.jpg

The adjustable, padded no-slip strap and tote handles make the bag one of the easiest and most comfortable to carry; we found that the adjustable strap is long enough to allow smaller and medium-size adults to carry the bag messenger-bag-style if they choose. Not many in our tests could be carried multiple ways, and we appreciated the versatility when walking long distances or quickly setting the bag down and picking it up again. At 1¾ pounds (our own weight measurement), the Skip Hop was one of the lightest bags among our dozen finalists. It has easy-to-attach clips that make it a cinch to hang on your stroller (although this does run the risk of tipping your stroller over).
When choosing the perfect baby diaper bag, there are several factors you should consider. Think about how you want to carry it. We suggest lugging around a 10-pound bag with you for an hour and see whether you find yourself wanting to throw it on your back. If so, then definitely consider one of the convertible diaper bags that can convert into a diaper bag backpack, like the Ju-Ju-Be (above). If your arms and shoulder feel fine, you might be OK with a more conventional bag. This might be a tote diaper bag that uses large handles and a shoulder strap, or a messenger style diaper bag worn across your chest. Better yet, check out the convertible diaper bags that can easily swap between a tote with shoulder straps and a diaper bag backpack. You'll be thanking us when you take it to Disney! Also, think about what happens when you need to do other things, like pull your baby in and out of the car seat. Will it flop annoyingly off your shoulder, stay on like a baby diaper backpack, or can you place it on the ground and not worry about it getting ruined by some water or tipping over and spilling its contents? The water issue is why we don't consider leather diaper bags in this article, given our less than stellar experience with liquids and leather bags (water, milk, lotions). But if you really want the stylish black leather diaper bag, check out the other faux leather diaper bags, like the Honest Company bag (above), a faux leather diaper backpack, or this faux leather Skip Hop Chelsea Diaper Bag.

I just absolutely love this company and the products so much variety of choices they carry. The great opportunity that they give women to going to business for themselves. I am not a consultant or representative, but I met a wonderful couple of ladies at a friends house and purchased two items. The quality is immeasurable and I love that they even monogram. I've been anxious to get my items, but it seems to take a few weeks. I will say they don't charge your credit card until the items have been shipped. And I love my free gift, I received when I placed an order over $30. I found the price is very reasonable and will be using my tote and cute little backpack/purse for years to come!
This top-rated bag looks almost like a large purse, and might even be mistaken as something other than a diaper bag. But don't hold your breath, that's a tall feat. This bag has a stylish thick quilted exterior with tan leather, gold hardware, and red accents, which makes it look much more expensive than it actually is. Coming in at around $55, this bag is right in the sweet spot where you will get reasonable quality and high functionality, without breaking the bank. While it doesn't convert into a backpack like some of the below models, it does have some great versatility: you can carry it as a hand-tote, use the shoulder strap, or use the included stroller straps to attach it right onto your stroller. Of course, we always suggest using caution with stroller straps, as a heavy diaper bag can cause a stroller to tip over backwards. The bag itself is big, and everything about it feels high quality and thick. The fabric is actually water resistant, and we tested it out by placing it into a shallow puddle and making sure the clothes we put inside were kept dry. They were, and we were happy to see that the diaper bag lived up to its claims. This bag has 10 different pockets, one mom pocket outside and one on the inside (for keys, phone, wallet, cash), two insulated baby bottle pouches on the sides, 2 front pockets and 1 rear pocket (all non-zippered), and a huge main compartment that is a bit more like a purse than a diaper bag in terms of how it's divided. The diaper changing pad is well-sized and can be separately washed in the machine. It's a big bag, but not too big so that it looks giant on a medium-sized mom, or sticks out too far when hanging on the stroller. Frankly, we think it's the perfect size. We found the zippers, seams, and buttons to be high quality, and we think this bag will last you for several years. Our most popular diaper bag on Pinterest, moms love the look of this bag! Only a minor gripe: we wish the large exterior pocket was zippered or buttoned, so inquiring minds couldn't look inside (and curious baby hands couldn't reach in!). Interested? When the time came to ditch the diaper bag, I jumped for joy. I never liked toting around a huge bag, but was still surprised that even though I now have a five-year-old, we still cart around a lot of stuff! Now that we are involved in school and sports, it turns out I still need a decent bag that’s both functional and stylish. Just as we signed up for the upcoming summer swim team (that requires tons of swim accessories!), one of my favorite companies released a baby line- Baby by Thirty One! https://i.pinimg.com/236x/38/dc/de/38dcde3cff7b189004c65b8e6c79d98d--cultural-families.jpg
