In addition to their use in outdoors pursuits, backpacks are sometimes used in other sports as well. Hydration packs, sometimes used by athletes and military personnel, carry water (in either a bladder or a rigid bottle) and have a tube connected to them from which the wearer can drink without removing the pack; this feature is also included in some more general-purpose hiking backpacks. Backpacks that carry skateboards have also become more popular in the youth culture. https://i.pinimg.com/originals/db/54/e3/db54e3e7683789b29dce47450c786de9.jpg
“We’re honored to be involved with World Vision for the fifth year in a row,” said Wendy Bradshaw, Executive Director of Community Affairs at Thirty-One Gifts. “We’ve been very pleased to see our products used to assist people who are in need around the world – whether it’s survivors of a natural disaster, refugees, or children in poverty. It’s our pleasure to help more individuals and families in need everywhere through our donation match. We are hopeful many people will double their donation through this match on Giving Tuesday.” https://i.pinimg.com/originals/c2/9b/08/c29b08994e6af6339259565280192db4.jpg
Alternative names include haversack from the German Hafersack meaning "oat sack"[1] (which more properly describes a small cloth bag on a strap worn over one shoulder and originally referred to the bag of oats carried as horse fodder), Kraxe (a German rucksack with a rigid framework), and bergen (a large load-carrying rucksack, from a design issued by the British Army during the Second World War).[2] In fact, Britons used to call Alpine-style backpacks "Bergen rucksacks", maybe from the name of their creator, Norwegian Ole F. Bergan, combined with the name of the Norwegian city of Bergen.[citation needed] https://i.pinimg.com/236x/f2/81/41/f28141bfddc4735c9fdad4210c76c5ae--thirty-one--thirty-one-bags.jpg

I actually use this tote as a diaper bag, I have two children in diapers and it really works great for that. Aside from the way I use it, I think it's an over all great bag. A few issues: the elastic pockets on the sides seem to have lost their tension already, I don't put anything large or heavy in them to cause this, also the pocket in the back.. Wish it was larger, I don't really see the point of the zipper in the bottom of the pocket. The only other issue I have is the straps, wish they had some sort of padding on them, they tend to be a little hard on your hands if you're carrying anything heavy. https://i.pinimg.com/236x/78/23/f3/7823f36b69d5658923e0a1483beb8f57--beautiful-hairstyles-pretty-people.jpg

Target has great backpacks for college students and adults, too. They sport large compartments that can hold books, binders, lunch bags, gym clothes, travel clothes, toiletries and more. You can find backpacks with built-in sleeves for laptops and tablets. They also have front organizer pockets for keeping essentials handy, and some even have side water-bottle pockets. https://i.pinimg.com/236x/a6/5b/bc/a65bbcd9af8e788fb164953e8c8dd3ae.jpg
Specialist backpacks are used by fire services for wildfire fighting, as well as by rescue services for Search and Rescue. These backpacks are generally very modular, allowing the pack to be reconfigured to the users wishes and are designed to load around the wearers hips. They may include features such as sections for water bladders and specially designed pouches, such as those used to carry personal fire shelters.
Backpacks in general fall into one of four categories: frameless, external frame, internal frame, and bodypack. A pack frame, when present, serves to support the pack and distribute the weight of its contents across the body more appropriately, by transferring much of the weight to the hips and legs. Most of the weight is therefore taken off the shoulders, reducing the chance of injury from shoulder strap pressure (many backpacks equipped solely with shoulder straps can affect the posture of a person carrying more than 14 kg (30 lbs)), as well as being less restrictive of the upper body range of motion. Most backpacks are capable of being closed with either a buckle mechanism, a zipper, or a dry-bag type closure, though a few models use a drawstring fitted with a cord lock for the main compartment. https://i.pinimg.com/236x/82/6e/29/826e2948754435ef4be0877652b539d7--bloody-mary-big-picture.jpg
Sports and hydration backpacks are smaller with a profile closer to the body, wider straps and can come with water bladders and hip belts for running, cycling or hiking. Running hydration packs are the smallest and lightest, many under 2 litres and most under six litres. Compression straps across the top of one's body are common as are hip belts. Cycling hydration packs are six to ten litres sitting high on the back. Although daypacks are small averaging ten to thirty litres, all Trekking and Hiking hydration packs are generally the largest and heaviest. Thirty five up to sixty five litres and above are common. https://i.pinimg.com/originals/79/c5/c0/79c5c0d6076a65d86321de0bc5cca530.jpg
External frame packs were designed to carry heavy loads (>20 kg or 40 lb), giving the wearer more support and protection and better weight distribution than a simple, frameless strapped bag. Wooden pack frames were used for centuries around the world. Ötzi the Iceman may have used one in Copper Age Alpine Italy,[5][6] though some archaeologists believe the frame found with the body was part of a snowshoe. Such packs are common in military and mountaineering applications;[7] metal versions first appeared in the mid-20th century. https://i.pinimg.com/236x/8d/6f/87/8d6f873a5f9b925fe764eecba26a075b.jpg
Many police tactical units, as well as players of military-style combat games such as paintball and airsoft, use these military-style tactical backpacks and webbing for storing gear and ammunition. There is also a small but thriving industry devoted to creating historical reproductions of military gear; such companies generally produce period-appropriate uniforms and other gear in addition to backpacks. https://i.pinimg.com/236x/63/11/50/631150e65c1200b7dd7a2ed186aac8a8--d-fiber-mascara-d-mascara.jpg
The internal frame backpack is a recent innovation, invented in 1967 by Greg Lowe, who went on to found Lowe Alpine and Lowepro, companies specializing in backpacks and other forms of carrying bags for various equipment.[8] An internal-frame pack has a large fabric section around an internal frame composed of strips of either aluminum, titanium or plastic, sometimes with additional metal stays to reinforce the frame. A complex series of straps works with the frame to distribute the weight and hold it in place. The internal frame permits the pack to fit closely to the wearer's back and minimizes shifting of the load, which is desirable when participating in activities that involve upper-body movement such as scrambling over rocky surfaces and skiing. However, the tight fit reduces ventilation, so these type of packs tend to be more sweaty than external frame packs. The internal construction also allows for a large storage compartment; a few lash points (including webbing loops and straps for sleeping bags and other large items) may be present, but as the frame is completely integrated, it is difficult to securely lash larger and heavier items which do not fit inside the compartment to the outside of the pack. Internal frame packs originally suffered from smaller load capacity and less comfortable fit during steady walking, but newer models have improved greatly in these respects. In addition, because of their snug fit, the improved internal frame models have largely replaced external frame backpacks for many activities. https://i.pinimg.com/236x/f5/db/24/f5db248ad132bc4f78260d9a37ba0b72---day-fitness-fitness-abs.jpg?b

The external frame is typically made from aluminum, other lightweight metal alloy, and recently reinforced synthetic polymers or plastic and is equipped with a system of straps and tautly-stretched netting which prevents contact between the metal frame and user's back. In addition to comfort, this "stand-off" provides the additional benefit of creating air circulation between the frame and the wearer's back. For this reason, external frame packs are generally considered to be a "cooler load" than internal frame designs. External frame packs have a fabric "sack" portion which is usually smaller than that of internal frame packs, but have exposed frame portions above and below the sack to accommodate attachment of larger items. In addition, the sack can often be removed entirely, permitting the user to customize the configuration of their load, or to transport a non-conventional load such as a quartered game animal. Military packs are often external frame designs due to their ability to carry loads of different shapes, sizes and weights. https://i.pinimg.com/236x/45/65/e1/4565e1614c03ffdfa979b645aee44007.jpg

So much stuff to carry, and so few hands. A Thirty-One backpack is exactly what you need to help you wrangle all the gear your daily life dictates while enabling you to remain true to your stylish side. Feed your need for cute, fun, and well-made bags with a Thirty-One Gifts backpack. The company understands women, knowing that just one bag is never enough to meet every need. Hectic, busy days require the security and ease of a cross-body backpack, while a quick trip to the park merits a simple drawstring version. Some Thirty-One backpacks serve multiple functions, such as insulated picnic bag that also works well as a diaper bag. Because Thirty-One offers several bags within each pattern family, you can coordinate all your backpacks with the same pattern or choose complementary ones. The versatile bags offer internal and external pockets to stow large and small items, and the thoughtful designs give you padded straps for comfort and features such as mesh or thermal-lined pockets for convenience. Sellers provide a large inventory on eBay to make your backpack shopping simple. https://i.pinimg.com/originals/09/53/3a/09533a8a67db9726171f6e7201cb5db3.jpg
The last item I received was the Key Fob. It makes it easy to just ‘throw’ my keys into my bag. It has a round key ring on one end and a clip on the other. I carry mine clipped to each other (the clip is clipped to the ring) to form a ‘bracelet’ to slip on my wrist if needed or to clip to my purse. My husband and I switch vehicles often, so it also makes it a lot easier to remove or attach the car or house keys.

Large backpacks, used to carry loads over 10 kilograms (22 lb), as well as smaller sports backpacks (e.g. running, cycling, hiking and hydration), usually offload the largest part (up to about 90%) of their weight onto padded hip belts, leaving the shoulder straps mainly for stabilising the load. This improves the potential to carry heavy loads, as the hips are stronger than the shoulders, and also increases agility and balance, since the load rides nearer the wearer's own center of mass. https://i.pinimg.com/236x/81/8d/45/818d45c8d48ce1857e20a29fa8bfa10d---gifts-thirty-one-gifts.jpg
